Not everyone has in excess of 60 friends which they want to transport from place to place around the UK in a coach. With the possible exception of attending a major event like a demonstration or a football match, there will be relatively few situations where you will manage to gather that many like-minded people together and require transport for them all. Needing to transport fewer than 20 people is far more common. For such situations, hiring a minibus is ideal.
When it comes to wedding transport, a minibus is just the right size for most. The bigger models can seat about 24 people in some comfort. This might not be enough for the whole wedding party, but chances are that it will be enough for all of the people from one part of the country. Another minibus can be arranged for other locations and concentrations of friends and family. This means that transport can be arranged to get guests not only from the church to the reception venue, but from their home, to the church and then from the reception back to their home. Given that churches are not generally well known for their expansive car parks, this is particularly helpful in a wedding situation.
Going to the airport (or coming back from it) is also a good time to have a minibus. Few cars are designed to carry five people as well as five large suitcases and hand luggage. Additionally, leaving your car in airport parking can prove expensive, even if it isn't robbed, vandalised, stolen or destroyed which, given that the airports refuse to take responsibility for your property in their own facilities and that security is often minimal, is a real possibility. A minibus has more than enough room for everyone and everything they are taking with them. Unlike public transport, it can be arranged to get you to the terminal at a time of your choosing and collect you from the same place for the return trip.
Being smaller and having a smaller passenger capacity, there are far more situations where minibus hire is applicable than coach hire. However, the same advantages are equally relevant for both. A minibus is private, personal, comfortable and its route and destination are entirely directed by your will, not the requirements of the public and the whims of the local authorities. It is also a surprisingly cost-effective option which, given the rising price of public transport, is a situation which is only going to improve.
